944 Door Handle Gasket Replacement
The gaskets have rotted off my sons 86 1/2 944T door handles and mirrors. Door panel is off, nasty tar coated paper is exposed, etc.... How do we do this? Also, can we simply remove what appears to be the power lock feature? Thanks in advance to all !

None of the interior has to come off for handles and mirrors. Clarks garage has details. I suppose you could unplug the connector on the inside of the door for easy non-power operation
