Default ISV boost leak

With 10psi of test pressure my ISV is leaking pretty bad. I mixed up some
JBWeld and covered the seam around the bottom of it to see if it would fix it.
Has anyone else ever tried this?

I thought about this too and I don't see why not. I was thinking black silicone sealant. Let me know how it turns out. I wonder if there's a o-ring in their you could replace? It looks like if you pry the metal tabs back, you can lift the top off.

Is there a way to get the ISV out without taking the intake manifold off?

i think it would be pretty tricky to get it out without taking the intake off, u can do the ventri delete without taking the intake off though.

taking the intake off isnt that hard give it a shot, get the gaskets before you start though

I was able to take the ISV out without taking the manifold off.
I loosened the mounting clamp screw, took the hose that connects to the manifold off. I was then able to pull it forward enough to disconnect the
electrical connector.

My guess is that there must be an O-ring between the motor section and the
hose connection section of the valve.
I didn't want to try taking it apart for fear of not getting it back together.

I'll try it out later and see how it works.

The JBWeld worked so far. At 15psi test pressure it's holding.

I've found a new leak though. The throttle body is leaking at the the shaft.
I guess I should take the time to rebuild it with the kit I picked up last year.

Mine leaked at the bottom and at the connector and JB Weld worked (as you apparently already have discovered). I took my ISV apart and discovered that the commutator was so worn so much that it probably only had a few months left, so I eventually got a new ISV. As I recall, there is an O-ring at the bottom.
