Get different set of rims. Keep the stock ones.

Been thinking about this for a while now. I spend a lot of time cleaning them but the flat finish just doesn't stand out. Of course once you've done it you can't go back. They are in pretty good shape. Just a couple small burrs on the edge of 2 rims. Figured that could be addressed before polishing them.

slee11 -
Joe - I clean the heck out of them now. I just don't like the results after hours of work with the anodized finish. Different break pads would probably go a long ways to improve the issue.

i know that an other (pricey) option could be to get them chrome plated... but we already did that on a st of 17 inch for a mazda3 and it costed the customer approx. 700$ per wheel...
if you decide to get them polished, may i suggest that you take the time to get them cleared afterwards... it is easier to clean them!
BUT,
if the polishing isn't done properly, you won't be able to re-do it unless you start over again

If your clubsports are in good shape you should keep them anodized IMO - they're only original once. I've got polished on my car and they're OK, but not original.
If you want a leg up on a polished set in need of a repolish lemme know :-), I'm moving to 8s all around for the track.

I am polishing a set of 4 9" for the 928, holy s..t what a quagmire to get into! I am going to clear coat once I get them all to a decent level of done.
To deal with the annodizing, lay them flat and cover with easy off oven cleaner. Rinse, repeat. Then wet sand #2000 and polish....Lots of work.

SD - absolutely, polish like the wind!
I am a bit biased
I would not own a set of club sports unless they were polished. Polished they look prety good. Unpolished I don't care for..... Chrome... too much bling crap.
