On '90 &´91 there's not even a hole in cover. Also there is not a possibility to connect a hose to aircleanerbox.

The vent and hose were removed per the TSB due to hydrolock issues. Water getting into the belt covers on the lower part of the engine was carried up on the belts to the vent and then sucked into the intake.

Well I'm an idiot. I saw last night that my belt cover hole is molded shut, so I just need a cap on the airbox. Sam that makes sense about sucking in water. Thanks guys.

I could cut it out, but now it sounds like the hose should really not be used, so I'm going to cap the airbox. In fact if I had an older car with the hose I'd probably cap it too to keep water from being sucked into the airbox.
