Default 944 Turbo Air Cleaner Element Replacement

I am wanting to replace the air filter element and am having trouble removing the filter cover. Does the turbo cooling pipe adjacent to the housing have to be removed first to remove the air filter cover? O can't seem to lift up the filter cover due to the turbo cooler hose being in the way.

The rear side of the airbox cover has a 3" long finger that tucks under the intercooler pipe that runs along the back side of the air box. Try to pull the airbox cover forward a bit. it will come off as long as you loosened all the cover screws. You need to remove or loosen the screw that is on the top back side that holds the metal strap that hooks into the bottom of the air box and wraps around the intercooler pipe and is screwed into the top of the air box. You may also have to remove the metal strap. It hooks into the finger that runs under the intercooler pipe.
