Special request to Rennlisters in Chicagoland area - need an up close and personal inspection of a 1988 951 in Westmont. Been looking for my best friend for a while and seen lots of pretenders and high end cars. This might be the one we want him to get if it checks out. I see a Lindsey boost enhancer and perhaps an afermarket pedal, at least for the gas. Might want to investigate if it was chipped or not.

I looked at a Bimmer there - the salesman wouldn't budge on the price and I went elsewhere. That said, I could probably go look at it, but not until Thurs. Lemme know.

i live in lagrange so im only 5 minutes away. If you need a second opinion just give me a call anytime. 630 347 3409. now im no mechanic but i have driven about 8 different 944's and have owned a 951 and 944. i should be able to tell you if it seems to be in good working order.

Thanks Michelle! I will let you know on Wed if this makes any sense. I called and have another knowledgable P951 guy calling today to see how real this car is.

Yes, it is a tad expensive but it is a one PO car with the full leather butterscotch interior in vg condition... seems to be a selling point to my LA friend.

I also see an aftermarket stereo, aftermarket alarm, no factory alarm, missing floormats, touring tires, etc...

I may be critical, but if I were looking for a stock low milage car I'd pass...
