The car was truly absolutelty amazing in detail and finish. We need more of this, but in 944s!

Duke, do you know what rear end he is using? Is it a 7-series?

Some of the old E34 rear differentials are supposed to be really strong but he's using a Borg-Warner (Camaro, Viper etc) transmission with custom drive shaft and axles.

Ah, so he mated a T56 to the BMW motor. That is interesting.

Thanks for the pics Duke. I have actually been looking into the possibility of putting a T56 into a E30 but with a different motor.

A GM LSx variant. They are very easy and relatively cheap to source over here. I would probably just use a regular E30, not an M3. The M3s are not worth messing with IMO. You can get a 325is with a decent body for around $2000. An M3 with a decent body and no engine would probably fetch $10k. (just a guess)

I have some friends with RX7 2nd Gen (FC) LSx swaps. They are pretty awesome, but the RX7 is a pretty ugly car. I have always liked the E30 look in M3 and non-M3 versions.

I would probably top out around 450whp with the LS motor.

I have a friend who has an LS6 in a BMW 320. He did all the work himself and it looks very professional. He actually makes a kit for you to do it including a rear subframe. I believe he is using the stock GM transmission and an M5 differential. I can get more information if you like.

You've obviously never heard of "Transparent Aluminum"... Just ask Scottie about it.

It's a so called turbo blanket, a very effective insulator. Keeps the heat/energy inside the turbo = reduces turbo lag and keeps the the engine bay cooler.

Hehe, the strut brace didn't fit with this engine installed.

I guess nobody realized my previous post had a link to a video...
