LBE...
I have autothority chips in my car currently but the stock banjo bolt is still installed therefore making the chips pretty pointless. I've been trying to get a jettted banjo bolt, but I dont know where to get one. So, would a LBE work with the autothority chips? If so does anyone have one that I can buy?
Thanks,
Alex

LBE worked very well for me. My car is holds boost to redline with the stock wastegate. So maybe the wastegate was shimmed or re-springed by the p/o or i got lucky.
I have Vitesse chip that comes on strong and sticks the boost.
I would get the LBE again. Tried other products, Accuboost, which didn't work and went back to LBE.
You may also consider the route of getting a simple brown **** boost controller that mounts in the cockpit. I am not sure whether that works with stock WG or requires dual port, but i think it works with any WG.
I don't have brown **** controller and after market boost guage because i am trying to stay as stealth as possible........i have to.
If i did NOT have to stay stealth, I would put in a brown **** boost control and a boost guage in the little slot just below the radio in the console.

If you put the MBC and the boost gauge in the glove box wouldnt that be pretty stealth? Hide it behind your owners manuals and nobody will ever know.

The Autothority jetted banjo is simply a stock banjo with the center tapped and a Holley carb jet screwed in - you can just modify your current banjo.
You cannot safely use any other form of boost control with those chips.

Free Tip - about adding BOOST to any engine
adding boost without fuel management adjustment will go lean
going lean under boost is FATAL. No exageration, and no joke.
I am finding more and more people that don't know this ultra basic fact....
Before buying an in cockpit adjustable boost controller please research and get ALL the information. This is truly useless most situations. You tune it once then leave it alone. Or maybe you run anoher setting on race fuel, the point is the illusion of turning a *** on demand without painstaiking effort with tuning is not how it works..

2bridges,
the APE II software is mapped so that it runs very rich in the midrange, that's why it is safe to use the banjo bolt, and is suggested. And these chips don't really lean out much in the top end either, atleast on my dyno sheets

agreed - most perf chips are mapped for increases in boost, etc. All good....
people installing manual boost controllers and pumping up boost settings without engine management (via chip, fuel pressure, whatever) is the scary deal... or far beyond chips intended boost.
