Default Boost Gauge selection choices

Which boost gauge scale would you rather have and why?

I always prefer to see vacuum as well as boost. It helps determine if there is a vacuum leak so I would choose teh one on the right.

I sort of thought that as well but I was wondering couldn't you just use the boost gauge on the dash to look for vac leak? Not disagreeing at all, just thinking outloud. The one without vac would seem easier to read for small changes.

stock gauge is not accurate or scaled close enough for vac detection anywhere close to a good VDO one as you have pictured there.

A vacuum leak could easily be the difference between 18in.hg and 10in.hg. Can you tell the difference on a stock gauge?

Reading vac is extremely valuable. If I have a 2 in/hg difference on startup, I know I something isn't right. To me, it would be like removing the oil pressure guage or wideband display. I've never had the stock guage so have no idea on it's usefulness or lack thereof.

I have the one on the left. The one on the right doesn't go high enough. (j/k, kind of)

I have the one on the right and it absolutely helped me identify I had a vacuum leak.

I have the Ulta-Lite series and have been very happy with the Autometer. However, I can understand the desire for the OEM look of the VDO.
