Default Oil lines/hoses Throttle body/turbo inlet ?

Which/how many oil hoses/lines around the throttle body and or over the turbo inlet area are there?

OK, then I changed the only one and still have a "srpay" leak around that area, jsut ahead of the turbo inlet.

??

Describe how much spray are you getting.

If its really lite then it could be a little hole in a IC coupler which is misting on that area from above. Or it could possibly be a pin hole the hose from the AOS hose that connects back into the intake j-boot.

Spraying down onto the inlet/jboot?

Dave: It is a fair amount, but not "bad". Just some spray in that area.

Brian: Yes, about 95% of it. Also, engine was rebuilt about a year ago and all new hoses except TB hose/IC coupler, BUT I looked it over and pulled the hose clamps and see no leaks, or holes. Of course, as mentioned, since it is only on boost it could be a pin hole that is not visable to the eye.

Tom: It is not the hard line into the turbo as that seems to be dry and all the spray is in front, by a few inches, of that hose.

This could also cause a boost leak correct?

Check the little hose that comes off the bottom of the throttle body, and the seals around the shaft for the throttle bufferfly.
I have a similar oil leak onto the top of my turbo from that area.

Where can you pick up one of those U shaped hose connectors that attaches the vac line to that little nipple?

Dunno. I replaced all of my vacuum lines when I rebuilt the motor. Used generic vacuum line of the same size, and about 2 dozen small zipties to make sure it never comes loose.

OK, it was the TB coupler/hose.

But should there be that much oil coming out of there??? I would guess a little but this was like if it was an oil line.

If it was an oil line, you would have litres of oil all over your engine

Some oil is quite normal in the intercooler hoses. If there is a LOT (i.e. pools of oil in the intercooler, and visible blue smoke when on boost) then your turbo is in trouble. Otherwise don't worry about it.

Oh ok

No, blue smoke or anything. it is a LR 1.5 year old turbo and rebuilt motor about 1 year ago, so I was not expecting there to be much of any oil, but I guess the blow by is normal.

But I think it was a gradual leak that got worse over time, as once fixed, I had to turn my boost down about 2-3psi.
