No, I did not do a search, like I usally do, but has anyone done a comparison between the LR & SFR manifolds. Do they offer significantly better breathing than the stock 951 manifold, or is this vendor hype?
I'm at the point where I want to update my 951's intake manifold, but only if there are gains to be had, otherwise I'll spend my $$$ on other things.
Are there any LR or SFR manifold owners who can testify that these manifolds are an upgrade over stock?

Unless you are going for over 400hp just have your stock intake manifold ported and polished.
With intake and exhaust manifolds it is not just a matter whether they breath best or not. It is a matter of where they are tuned to make power. Both the LR and SFR intake manifolds have a large plenum and short runners. That makes them tuned for high rpm and/or higher airflow. Unless you increase your rev limit to 8000 or run a really big turbo I don't think either will help make any more power. In fact, you may lose 10 or 15 hp.
I tried the LR intake when I had a K27/8. It lost about 5 hp on the dyno over the stock intake. I went back to my stock intake.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot, I discovered my cam was off a tooth when I tested the LR intake.

your intake manifold is only as good as your head is.if your going to get an intake manifold you might as well get your head port matched as well.otherwise theres no sense.just my .02
