Default Mustang vs. 951

Some kid in a Mustang GT kept taunting me to race him, taking off after each light and slowing down just to take off again. I thought to myself, who is this guy kidding. I have never raced my 951 from a stop and really didn't want to with this guy but the arrogance of this kid really made me want to take him. Anyway he takes off again after the light turns green and off I go after him, the kid takes the lead then in second gear I get boost, I pass him and win.
To be honest, afterward I felt sick inside for doing something so irresponsibe and stupid, I don't know what came over me. Oh well.

I can't speak from experience in regards to a 944 as mine is still being rebuilt...

However, I will say that it is alot of fun literally leaving a fast car in the dust with something that isn't normally fast..

Mustangs are easy prey...

Take my Mazda as an EG...

Outside...

Inside... A totally diferent story..

my favorite was when i still had my cat, and my WG was tied in, i raced a mustang.

FROM A STOP.

caught him at the end of 2nd and walked away.

then one other time, i was vs 2 5.0 mustangs that just came from the track with mid-13 ET's on their window.

they followed me down this big empty stretch of road, then they waited for a light.

i found it hilarious that they got the jump on me 2 times- once because i wasnt paying attention to the light, and second because i cant launch in my car,

yet still lost.

miserably.

It's set to 9 Psi and 22 on a flip

@ 9 Psi 212 FWHP and 205 FWTQ
@ 22 Psi 310 FWHP and 295 FWTQ

There is need of better tuning as you can see the gains in HP don't match the volume of air being fed into the beast.. Overall I'm very happy for a 2.0L.

Same thing happened to me several years ago. It was a Harley and a Big guy riding it. This bike was loud and it seems we hit every red light possible for the next 5 lights. Everytime the light turned green he'd take off a nd leave me in the dust until the next light where he would rev continously. Imagine this happening 5 times. At the last light was a left turn onto a freeway on ramp. I pull behind him and he is still revving. We get on the freeway on ramp and this time I said to myself "You're in my territory now" and I floor 1st from a roll and by the time I was midway to 3rd I was passing him and left him sevreal car lenghts. I waited for him but he continued to slow down. Yes I do feel stupid now that I think about it but at that time everytime he took off it just irked me. I don't do these anymore these days and I get picked on everytime I drive my car. To me I've already won since I caught their attention and don't need to prove anything else.

Some people just enjoy those Jack Rabbit starts, I know I do. I revell in being the first one at a light so I can accelerate at my own pace. Even had a police officer pull me over once after rocketing to the speed limit. He said he thought I was fing with him. I told him I just liked my turbo and thought I wasn't being wreckless because I didn' spin my tires. He just laughed, said OK and told be to be safe.

Guess I must either be intimidating or look like I'm not worth the effor because I don't get invited to street race. I think most of the real street racers around here do the Fast and Furious thing. They have several secluded spots they "meet up at." One of those if you are in the group you know where they are going tonight things.
