Default Anything tricky about swaping Fuel Injectors?

I am about to do this and I have read through the Clarks garage write up. It seems straight forward. Anything tricky about this? It almost seems too easy... and with this particular car... NOTHING is ever easy

No, it is actually pretty easy. After removing and replacing my intake a couple times last week while rebuilding my TB and removing vacuum hoses, I'd say I could get those injectors out in just a very few minutes.

inspect the caps and o rings

you may want to install new just to make sure you get a good seal and whatnot

I didnt check to see if clarks garage mentioned this, but it is critical that you lube the injector seals with a little grease, oil, silicon, anything helps before bolting down the rail again.

If you do not, they might rip without you noticing, it has happened to me, and these cars are famous for engine fires.

quick snip of the correct wires at the dme and drop the resistors in line, shring tubing and heat sinks are a good idea as well.

someone has posted a pic before on here, a search will show the install.

i installed my ballast resistors inside a little metal project box, just to insure that that if they get hot, nothing around them gets fried. Glued them in with some ofthat thermo paste so that heat gets transferred to the box and disipated from there.

The directions that came from Vitesse mentioned lubing the O rings with ATF. Each injector has a brand new O ring on them. I am guessing that there are only these?

As for fuel leaks, I live in abject terror of the idea of a fuel leak.

Also he said not to use the clips? I am guessing by "the clips" He means the little metal clips that hold the injectors to the rail?

Alas John is on some sort of a trip or I would pester him.

I have some very cool (no pun intended) heat sinks I salvaged off of some electronics boards we were tossing that wrap around each resistor. They will work nicely.

injectors from racetronix.com come with silicon lubricant. The injector clips don't quite fit on delphi injectors.

Ahhh these are Delphi so that explains it. I guess the fuel rail does hold em down and in place. ATF is nice a slick so they should slide in ok.
