951 gets new paint

eclou, looks like a twin of mine! Good take my friend. My wheels are by Kenesis as well but they don't look like yours. I've had mine for about five and a half years now. Are yours older than that? Can you guys see the difference? Or is it just me?
P.S. Whatever you do, let Anthony Orasco detail from the boards here detail it. He's in Houston I believe. He's one of only two people I'd let touch my car besides me. It will be worth it. Again, nice job and a HELL of a price!

^^and where did you get/make the pod for the components.
Eclou, the car is phenominal. Makes me want to jump into paint right away. Man, i'm just awe struck. I can't wait to paint now. I had heard this about kinesis lately...wonder when they will start up on those wheels again. Its always what I wanted since I saw the 968 turbo cars. Anyway, congrats and enjoy it. I second the recommendation for Anthony. He knows his stuff.
Cheers, Josh

My wheels are the 968 turbo style NLA from Kinesis, bought right here off Rennlist Classifieds. Kinesis assured me that the SuperCup style, the C2 turbo style and the 968 turbo RS style wheels are coming back this year, using true 18" centers.
My paint is Graphit not black though. I do need to find Anthony to do the detail. Anyone have contact info? There are just a couple of spots that need some more buffing to be perfect - I can see some swirls and light sanding marks only under the fluorescent lights in my shop but it drives me crazy. Under sunlight I can see nothing.
This car started out as a neglected $3500 beater designated to be a track *****. It has served its role so well that I decided it deserves a moderate makeover. I just need to save some beans now for Rob Budd's french seamed interior.
No one has noticed yet that I had the headlight washers filled?

Eugene, here is a Orosco's site: http://www.ultimatereflections.com/
You can see his work over on Autopia. You will have a show car when he is done with it.

Jacklet, they are Dyne Audio
Jwlster, I had them made by a custom audio shop.
Sorry for the ot.
Don't my rims look different from yours eclou? I thought that Kenesis only had supercups. I didn't know they made a 968 Turbo Replica. Look great!

The nose panel was cut by myself into a stock panel (eBay special) using a Roto-Zip. The body man at the shop rolled it using a small dolly (anvil looking device with a curved surface) and a mallet. Took him all of 30 minutes to do.
I used a Porter Cable orbital polisher and some Meguiar's #9 swirl remover followed by P21S wax today. Some new shots in sunlight:
