Here's a few clips of us running the V8 951 around Studio City.

Wow... the car is fast!

Uh... I'm trying to watch where the heck we're going while pinned to my seat.

The "check engine" light, and the master warning light were on due to the faulty chip programming.

A new DME is on the way with a new program, which will fix the problem.

Yeah. It's ripped apart 2 sets of rubber engine mounts thus far.

We're going to have to install a couple of engine straps to control the engine movement.

The other thing is that the head lights are a joke. If we still own the car (cause it's up for sale), we're going to install a different header panel that uses 300ZX sealed head light assemblies.

Other than that.... it's rock solid.

It's certainly cool without the psssst.

Just a different kind of cool.

You should see the look on people's faces when this car is brought out. People are dumb-founded when they see and hear this car take off.

Drive the car... you'll be saying, "I could of had a V8".

I had forgotten how cool a V8 is (since I've been involved in Porsche crap so long now) until I drove this car.

Next: A 968 Turbo RS replica (with a 650HP LS1 All Aluminum V8) in full street trim.

Looks and sounds like fun.

When I was 18 I had a 71 Plymouth Satelite Sebring Plus. A 383 with 2 2bbl carbs and an adjustable suspension. It would pop motor mounts so quick it was NOT funny. And that was with it's stock skinny street tires. I got the biggest mopar mounts I could find AND chained them down. It popped the mounts AND broke the chains! It really was a V8 monster, slap stick and all.

RKD in OKC

heheheh

This car has 275x17" Hoosier's on all 4 corners and hooks up real hard.

We've got (2) 3" wide nylon straps (similar to tow strap) used on drag racers ordered to secure the engine torque...

Also... the rear quarters and rear hatch are lexan, the spoiler is the GT Lemans spoiler, the rear bumper is carbon fiber, the hood is fiber glass, and the front lip spoilder is also carbon fiber. Oh yeah... the sun roof panel is a fiber glass panel. The actual sunroof is gone as are all the sunroof mechanicals and the entire interior head liner is a custom 911 style head liner.

The car is 2640lbs.

Tony - Have you had a chance yet to test it in the hills to compare the power band to a turbo, the torque must be absolutely scary? I'll send the video on to David P., he'll be proud to see and hear that beast.

Tony, I figured that much about the headlights. Used to have them. Hate them. I wish I had just gone with the Arktek 968/993 fenders.
