Hey guys, I'm the proud owner of an 88 944 turbo here in Australia.
The car has been going great and I'm very happy with purchase![Big Grin](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
However, about a week ago I got the dreaded stops dead for no reason and now won't start problem. The motor cranks fine, but isn't pulsing the coil or the injectors. I've fed it a new DME Relay, and both Reference sensors (which I was going to do anyways) but it still doesn't want to fire. The car doesn't have the factory alarm, and I'm beginning to believe it's a fault of the aftermarket alarm in the car.
What I'm really chasing is a pinout diagram or list for the DME plug so that I can test whether the DME is getting power, and that the signal from the sensors is getting through. Knowing which number wire does what, and what colour it is will help greatly.
Can anybody help me with this one?, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hmmmm .... on second thought, this did not make life any easier for me at all ![Frown](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
I've replaced the DME Relay, as well as both reference sensors. There is power to both sides of the coil, as well as fuel in the rail when cranking. However, it isn't pulsing the coil (tested with test light while cranking), or pulsing the injectors (tested with one of those little LED testers for injectors - a noid light?) while cranking.
The car was running flawlessly prior to this. I havn't gapped the Reference sensors, however, the bracket is definately secure that they mount into, so I am hesistant to believe that this is the fault.
From this, I have worked out that it shouldn't be the aftermarket alarm system stopping it from going; so I'm left with the reference sensors, or the computer.
I would like to be able to ensure that the signal from the Reference sensors are getting through to the DME by testing them at the plug that goes into the computer, before I send the computer away to be tested.
Would anyone have a pinout diagram/list for this model car available so that I might be able to identify which wire is which at the plug.
I have been directed to this diagram ( http://forums.rennlist.com/upload/dme_plug.jpg ), but it does not match up with the plug I have in my car.
The wires in the plug in my car are as follows:
Pin 1 - Black with Red stripe.
Pin 2 - Green.
Pin 3 - No wire.
Pin 4 - Red.
Pin 5 - No wire.
Pin 6 - Red.
Pin 7 - No wire.
Pin 8 - White.
Pin 9 - White.
Pin 10 - Brown.
Pin 11 - Light Green.
Pin 12 - No wire.
Pin 13 - No wire.
Pin 14 - Green.
Pin 15 - Black.
Pin 16 - No Wire.
Pin 17 - No wire.
Pin 18 - Green with Red stripe.
Pin 19 - No wire.
Pin 20 - Brown.
Pin 21 - Light Green.
Pin 22 - No wire.
Pin 23 - No wire.
Pin 24 - Yellow.
Pin 25 - Red with White stripe.
Pin 26 - Yellow.
Pin 27 - Green.
Pin 28 - Blue.
Pin 29 - White <- This pin has two White wire soming out of it.
Pin 30 - No wire.
Pin 31 - No wire.
Pin 32 - Green with White stripe.
Pin 33 - No wire.
Pin 34 - Brown.
Pin 35 - Green with Yellow stripe.
The part number on the DME is 928.618.119.05 if that means anything to anyone ?
I realise that this is a lot of information, but honestly, I'm just about stumped, and you seem to be the man to talk to about 944's !!
Would anyone happen to have a similiar pinout for my car available at all?
It would make life for me a LOT easier to try and get this car going again.
The major thing of concern to me is the pins on my plug that have no wires in them. I have spoken to a reliable shop here in Australia, and they say it is a common thing for some pins to not be used ..... I'm confused.
Thanks for reading,
Lee.

If you're in Sydney or not for that matter, give Bruce Buchanan a call on
(02)9948 2651 from Buchanan Automotive. He or his son Sean should be able to help you out.
