Motec tuning N CA?

Anybody know someone in Northern CA that's familiar with setting up Motec M4 unit for 3L 944 turbo, for street car? The unit is so flexible that there's 9 million ways to do it. You can set it up on MAP sensor, and overlay throttle position switch, or you can do it other way around, or ?
I'm currently getting 360 RWHP and 380 tq at 1 bar boost, but there's lots of operating points in daily driving that are pretty ragged. I need a method to dial it in, or someone who has done it a few times already.
Thanks

No - I'm the original owner - got if from Carlsen in Palo Alto. Got a long tale of fun/woe that has me back on the street with Darton sleeves and 2 sets JE pistons, Motec controller, and 183k miles. Have had as much as 392 RWHP, but now looking for something reliable.

I owned a 3L car that has the Motec M4Pro, car was sold years ago.. I might be able to assist you (off line) depending on what you need done.. Motec US office was in CA, they might be able to recommend a tuner close by.

Jerry Woods Enterprises in Campbell is a Motec authorised dealer. Jerry Woods is a world renoun 911 guru, but has 944 experience.
I know this because I was concidering Motec for my 951 and spoke with them.
183k and more reliable. I am I missing something here?

I second that. Jerry is an hour from Berkeley, and is in a different league than most. Nice guy too.

Many thanks for all the info....
This aft. managed to pry my mechanic loose to sit with laptop computer while I drove and hit bad spots, and looks like a bad MAP sensor. Could be that after replacing that I'll only need to tweak in some curves while watching lambda - would be sweet.
I shouldn't whine about reliability with 183k miles, but this is the 3rd motor, running its second set of pistons, and I've just finished waiting over 1.5 yrs for this last rebuild. Could be the car's got more miles left than I do.... so I just wanna feel the rear end swing around when I get on it coming out of a corner ;-)

On the Motec car I had, there were 2 MAP sensors. One used for boost, the second for atmospheric pressure.. The sensors are different, make sure you get the correct one.
I believe there are sensors calibrations in the Motec SW. Could it be that it was not done (or not done correctly).

Yes, I did see the setup screen where you can use 2 sensors that way. We're running a single 300 kpa sensor. I saw some stuff on the motec site about mounting the sensor higher than the manifold, with the tube coming out the bottom, to keep gas out of the sensor. Mine is currently mounted just wrong, downhill from the manifold with tube up, so anything in the manifold can dribble into the sensor. Soon to be fixed.
The symptom I had was the motor sometimes appearing to cut out and in (real jerky) at ~ 3500 RPM and 0.6 bar absolute pressure - right where it sits when cruising at 80 MPH. The laptop showed the injector pulse width suddenly jumping to 8 msec from 3 or 4, right at that spot - way too rich. The only other thing I'm looking at for injector pulse width now is the intercooler air temp, and that wasn't budging. But the MAP sensor input was jumping thru three boxes on the screen at that point, while my foot was constant on the gas, and the boost gauge on the dash also constant. So, it was excited about something. And it doesn't happen all the time - it's not totally repeatable - but when it does happen, it happens at that operating point.
So, should have new sensor early next week - change the mounting and see what it does.
THanks for your help,
John
