you will have to repaint your hood if you weld vents onto it.

Welding on the hood will guarantee you two things: the need to do a ton of bodywork to repair the warped hood skin, and the need to repaint.

I did paint and body on Porsches for a few years while going to school. David's way to go is THE way to go. My only comment would be to remove the paint in the area of the louvers before stamping, as trying to sand around them is certainly more of a PITA than a flat sheet of steel.

I've had louvers stamped into a sheet of aluminum I used as a replacement for the foward belly pan. I paid a lot more money per louver than David. He got a great deal, and the guy looks like he did a great job.

(Any 928 owners that want to do this should limit theirs to 5 per side, as true sharks have only 5 gill plates.)

You got that right, I spent many hours sanding/priming around the vents, till I was happy

That was the plan, I ended up just doing all the prep work, took on a second job and have had no time to finish up so I had my buddy paint for me.

Ok.. she is home !! nice to drive her after 5 months, lots of clean up to do, engine bay is filthy !!!!

I need a few gaskets for door handles and such, then final assembly.

Not 100% show stopper quality.. but does look very nice.
