Default LSD Gear Oil recommendations....

What are you running for LSD gear oil and how much do I need for tranny and oil cooler?

100% track use.

It takes about 2 quarts. What I am going to do is use the Redline gear oil that does not have any friction modifier (FM) in it. From what I've been told you really want as little FM as possible. You can by the Redline FM seperately and only add it if you have chatter, and then only add enough to get rid of the chatter. For a full track car you may not care about chatter though.

I've been using Swepco 201 for several years in my track car. A gallon does almost 2 drains/refills. A bit stiff in cold weather but not an issue for a track car. Don't have to mess with friction modifiers. Beware, though, it smells like crap.

Mobil 1 75W-90 is fine, or Amsoil Series 2000 full racing synthetic has a good reputation - Ive used both.

Depending on how well you drain the case, it usually takes right around 2 qts. Capacity is 2 Ltr, which is around 2.1 qts. I dont think there is a separate factory capacity spec for a trans w/ cooler, but it will hold a little more fluid - although it probably doesnt drain completely. Its a good idea to pickup 3 qts, just in case youre a few drops short with only 2.
