So the Lindsey unit will seal better than a lugnut? Any other benefits? Presumably its steel instead of aluminum?

just installed the cap this weekend. piece of cake and definitely fixed an exhaust leak. PB blaster helped remove the old piece.

Mine had the flare part of the tube siezed to the exhaust pipe. I ended up cutting the tube to get it off and using vice grips to get the tube out of the exhaust pipe. I plugged it by using the nut that was on the tube and making a "hole-less washer" of 3/32 scrap metal and sandwiching it between the cap and the fitting on the exhaust pipe. Seals fine and no leaks.
