Mine had the flare part of the tube siezed to the exhaust pipe. I ended up cutting the tube to get it off and using vice grips to get the tube out of the exhaust pipe. I plugged it by using the nut that was on the tube and making a "hole-less washer" of 3/32 scrap metal and sandwiching it between the cap and the fitting on the exhaust pipe. Seals fine and no leaks.

Tom, the Porsche OEM cap seals via the sealing bevel at the tip of the test port threads, while a lug nut seals using the threads themselves. The difference is painfully obvious if you have to remove the cap for any reason after driving the car a bit.
