Vitesse - New items
As always, we are trying to offer you the best products. Products that perform, not bling-bling. Over the next couple of weeks, we will be releasing few items that some of you have been requesting for a while.
- Stealth MAF - The MAF sits in place of the stock AFM (between Air Box and J-boot). It comes with Vitesse software, for a true plug-and-play.
- Stage 1 kit and entry level turbos. This line of turbo will use more generic off the shelf parts, but built to Vitesse specs. The goal is to offer a less expensive product that performs. The Stage 1 kit will be priced below $3000.
The Vitesse turbos Stage 2,3,4 and 5, which we now offer, will remain the top of the product line. Nothing else will come close to the spoolup characteristics with the performance potential.
- 951 Camshafts - As of now we offer several options. The VR003 which is designed for the street performance. VR007 - Geared toward top performance and track use. Of course, we will have few grinds in between. The cams are $499 + core.. Again a proven product from Vitesse.
- The sledgehammer head is now available. We offer competition head work all the way to the sledgehammer head. Proven performance gains at the wheels is what matters, not "sexy" flow numbers that translates to no performance gains.
- Soon, we will release the wastedspark system for the 911 3.2L Motronic. Single and dual plugs.
- Few goodies for the 996 and Boxster will be released soon.

Good to hear John. Any Cams in the works that may suit my 3.0L? I’m thinking of going with something with an intake lift around .500", exhaust lift of .474" and a lobe separation of 116°. Thinking it’ll be a nice street cam with plenty of low end and make power to 6800 and still get past emissions.

Hi Jeremy, Good to see you progressing on your project. The cams we now offer are designed to work with the stock valve springs. Any higher lift requires aftermarket springs etc.. The cam you want will be available and will be made out of a blank (no core but a bit more $). As you already know, the cam & head must be designed to work together.. Now we factor in the turbo, we don't want to give up spoolup and mid-range, yet we want to make lots of power up top. Turn up the boost, then you must handle the backpressure if any.
ST tried the VR007 cam, he reported (and posted a dyno chart) where he observed serious gain at the wheel. Shortly, we will have someone posting a chart on the VR003 cam. (Maybe test it against the VR007 cam).

Stealth, just what I need.
John,
This is good news for me as I would prefer that method. The concern I would have is the flow of the stock airbox, especially in the area where the snorkel flattens out before going to the fender. Do you feel there is dtill enough capability for providing enough airflow for your Stage 2 or 3?
Thanks

Daigo, The stealth MAF is not a good idea for someone wanting the full benefits of a S2 or S3.. The target audience are the guys with a K26 or larger turbos running 1bar boost or so. The stock air box works ok, but it creates a pressure drop comparing it to a 3" pipe + cone filter. This was done on a flow bench.. The pressure drop is does not help fast spoolup. Using the stock J-boost with a larger turbo (3" inlet) forces you to modify the J-boot..
So, in reality, you gain some you lose some!
The beauty of the Vitesse MAF is the proven product. The same MAF that supports over 500rwhp will be used, so you don't have to worry aboout maxing it out. You decide on the injectors you want to use now. If you ever upgrade your turbo, and you convert the the 3" J-pipe + cone filter you will not have to purchase a new MAF. Just the pieces you need...

Stealth MAF questions:
Approximate pricing of stealth MAF and what it includes?
If it requires a change in chips?
If so, is there a credit for existing Vitesse chip (AFM)? or can you rewrite the chip?
Anything else we should be aware of?

Stealth MAF kit: MAF sensor, MAF pigtail, Adapter, hose, chip/board).
The AFM chip does not work with the MAF. If chip purchased less than 30days, we offer credit toward an upgrade. The Stealth MAF (not 100% firm yet) will be in the $1050-1150 range.
