Any dyno chart of the MAF stealth kit with the chip/board upgrade ? Any increase HP estimation ?

TIA

We rewrote the Motonic code to support MAF signal in the code. No signal massaging is required.
On a K26 car, the MAF gains you quicker spoolup and crisp response. There is some power gains, however the limiting factor is the K26.
With larger turbos, there is plenty to be gained.

EDIT: There will be plenty of power gain from stock setup. However the MAF on a K26 at the same boost level gains some power, but don't expect miracles.

john, will the MAF be able to be tuned for another, larger turbo? say, 27/8, 26/8, etc?

would that be something you do, or something that the customer does?

A few more Stealth MAF questions please.

Will the boost controler still be the CV valve and can the chip be written for 1.0 bar boost? The Board/Chip is DME only or KLR as well?

Jason.

p.s. I'm not looking for miracles, just better throttle responce and a little more zing.

Is that applicable to the turbo head or do you use N/A heads so the exhaust side can be modified?

Any progress on getting your chips to work with the mafterburner, or does that look like it will not happen?

Hey John - can you provide a little details on the Sledge hammer head?

1. @ 1 bar the my S3 is 340hp, what would the max head and cam achieve?

2. What are the price increments for the head work?

Thanks,
David

EDIT - Achieved 340 RW HP at 17psi not 1 bar

951Obsession, Our MAF & associated software do not care which turbo you have. We do care about the injectors used (55# minimum). The boost characteristics of a turbo can and should be handled to optimize the setup on a car. This is why we offer the PiggyBack. On the chip/board we get you 95-97% on target.

951North, As with all our software. You must bypass the cycling valve. Our software does not care what boost you run (other than fuel octane). We measure the actual air mass and calculate fuel and timing accordingly. This is the correct way of doing it.

macnewma, We offer the big-valve head or (sledge hammer) on the 951 head. We also offer the next level up, which used the NA head and lmods to the exhaust side as well. Using the NA head drives the price up.

Epic2112, there is no problem with our software. It appears that the MafterBurner massages the MAF signal even if you do not specify it. In my opinion, this is a design flaw with the unit. Our software works by itself and works with any PiggyBack that offers 1:1 signal mapping.

dlr944, Please send me the dyno data (as a file to read in the DynoJet software). The big-valve head on STs car gained 30-40rwhp at higher boost (without the VR cam). We have not tested a before and after at 1bar. We expect a good performace increase when both the VR and Cam are used.

Any additional items (exh. valves, springs) or additional work to the head will be added and priced as needed.

Just an FYI...

The PowerPerfect that LR sells works fine with my Vitesse MAF chips.

Do you have the chip/board or the chip.

Depends on what's needed. Does it need guides, valve seats, valves, resurfacing. How elaborate of seat works and porting do you want.. It adds up... and you get what yoy pay for. The last head we did (without replacing valves, springs etc..) was about $750.

John,

"Our MAF & associated software do not care which turbo you have. We do care about the injectors used (55# minimum). "

26/6
LBE
3 Bar FPR
Vitesse AFM chip

What is everything that I will need to make the Stealth MAF work properly and what are the costs of the items not in the MAF kit (which you stated was around $1050) ?

Does having a 3 bar FPR have any bearing on the need for new injectors?

Thanks,
David

When you switch to a MAF you should use 55# injectors. At 3bar FP the stock injectors are maxed out..

Good to hear John!

I think Michelle's question presents a good point, and maybe she intended it this way, and that a turbo rebuilding dept. would fit right in with the long range plan.

I look forward to seeing the new products on the site, hopefully it will reduce a few of my silly Q's.
