Default What is a 89 944 turbo S with a blown motor worth?

Alright guys, I think I have decided to put a brand new motor in the car and then sell it in hopes that it would sell easier and bring a nicer price/ give the new owner a nice car(I know a lot of PCA members and want to make sure the next owner gets a nice car). The car is fully set up with a cage, race seats, harnesses, kill switch, race suspension, two sets of wheels, new turbo, new wastegate, etc etc. I have so many new parts on the car but the car will need a new motor so if someone is interested in buying this car at a discount before I put a new motor in it then let me know. I can send you pictures and everything upon request. I have over 30 pages of receits and work done on this car since I owned it and it only has 69k or so miles(i can go out and check the exact miles). If someone is a good wrench and wants to do some work on the car you may be able to save both of us money if you wnt to shoot me an offer that is reasonable for the car. I will leave the blown motor in the car so you can take whatever parts you need for the build. I can even have the shop itemize what you would need for a full rebuild on the car so you can work out priving. I know there are several good mechanics on here that would be able to do the work themselves.

Probably the right approach. It will be hard for you to get the cash out of a new motor job.

If this is the same Mo from Chicago with a white 951 that I know, it is a VERY fast and well set up car. I got a few laps in it at Gingerman about a year ago where the only thing passing it were the Radicals.

Yup that is me and my car, guilty as charged lol! Those radicals were fast, there was no way to keep up with those guys =)

Rockfan4: Yes that motor let out at Road America =(! One of the saddest days of my life! Fischer Motors set the car up on Bilstein Coilovers and I believe did a swaybar kit and some other minor things here and there. I have all 30 pages of reciets. I would be more than happy to get the exact details and pass them on to you.

What happened to the motor? Did it blow a head gasket or knock a hole in the side of the block.
