Joe, no offense, but I do not think your car has what it takes to run with the current euro/compact cars in most of these shootouts. Not to mention, you'd need an invite.

MPD47, I don't want to sound cocky but I'm pretty much assured an invite if I catch it in time. It was suggested by Pablo Mazlumian and Les Bidrawn from European Car Mag when they did an article on my car. All those mags are published by the same people. Just can't remember which one it was. As far as what it takes, without a single doubt. They both said it was one of the fastest 4 bangers they've ever drove. At 21psi, I'm at 480whp. I can go up to 24psi. I get the feeling you think I'm a moron cause I don't work on my own car but I know more than I admit and learn more and more from you guys here. I'm not offended. If I can take an F430 Ferrari, GT2's, and give new Z06 Vettes a head start, don't you think I could compete?

It came up when they looked over my car and saw the showpiece that it is. In print they said, "nicest black paint we've ever seen". When they drove it, they mentioned it again...Look at the mural of the mountains on the side of my car.

Don't sweat it Joe, there are some guys who have the endless project 951 which never runs right and gets towed from shop to shop and then it gets parted out ...........and there are guys like you who can put their mouth where their money is.

Go for it. I'm sure it would make for a nice article for any 951 owner to have.

Thanks guys, I'm sure I'll have to put some money aside for a clutch replacement when it's done, but it's not just me anymore. When I started I was pretty far ahead on the horse power game. Now, there are a ton of you guys who tweek here and tune there. I'm not the only one who could do it on power alone. A lot of us can. Hell, you guys have helped me see that there is a lot more to be had on my car, ie my chips. I have Autothority. When I built my car, they were the guys to go to. Went to the dyno to see for myself and all of you were right, very rich in the midrange and lean up top(thanks Tool and ehall). Gotta get Vitesse chips. Anyway, they want the best of both worlds, show car for good pics for their readers and hp to back it up. I just want to let my car run with those guys. No dyno, just pure road performance so everyone else can see what our cars are capable of. It's alot too.

Just as soon as anyone hears about one of these contests, please let me know. I think there are more than one. Hell, we could get a get together at the testing site and make a day of it. Just keep your eyes out for it for me...Joe

Joe: Just find out the date ofthe testings, show up and strat running your car. Hopefully you would put down good enough times that they ask you to stay before security kicks you out

Also, could you post or email a copy of the article on your car?

Joe,

You may want to check the rules on these shoot outs. They require you run 93 pump gas, which you're not doing if you thing you're running more than 19-20psi. Also, these cars all have fully setup race suspensions, which last I checked, yours did not. Do you own a nice car? Sure, do I think it has what it takes to compete? Surely not.

Yeah, I emailed him and another editor after all the controversy popped up here about people's disappointment in his dyno numbers. Unfortunately he declined my invitation to join in our discussion. Probably wise as there would've been too many know-it-alls telling him what he did wrong.

Regardless, he seemed like a cool guy, and he'd have to be with a semi-monster 951 and full-on monster M3t.

"Sure, do I think it has what it takes to compete? Surely not."

Well, proof is in the numbers put down. I read through them on the link and only a few were really big time speeds and numbers.
