wow, cool project. have you thought about adding some bracing to the cage at all or changing to 6 point harnesses?

Skip Wolfe what is the max lift? what is the brand name? i am looking for one and seems like it would do the job very well..

Reno - I'll have to find out for sure. Its a little over 2/3rds of the way up in the pic. It's a Bend-Pak lift -pretty sure its the same one Harbor Freight sells. The go for about $1200 and I was very impressed with it. I'll probably be over at Brant's place this weekend and I can take some more pics and find out the details if your interested. Maybe he'll chime in on this thread as well.

Joseph - I'm planning on staying with a 5 point at this point because I already have that setup in my '87 and will be transferring it over to the racecar, but have given it a whole lot of thought.

Wasn't planning on adding any bracing but am always open to suggestions - do you have anything in mind?

I like the B-pilar bracing as well as the taco gussets in the door x braces, but I would be concerned about the escapability with the A-pillar brace in place.

It's been a while since I have made an update, so here are a couple.

New Lindsey Super 53. Its a new turbo in the Super lineup and is replacing the Sport. Here is a pic comparing it to a T3 that is similar in size to a K26.

And the obligatory cell phone pic:

The motor is almost buttoned up. I am waiting on a Lindsey 2-piece crossover conversion and a Clewitt trigger mount. Should have them both this coming week and hopefully I can get them installed and drop the motor. Unfortunately I am going to be out of town a fair bit so it may not happen until the July 4th week. Hope to take some time off and really hammer throught some stuff.

That turbo looks gigantic sitting in there! It's gotta feel good to finally get the engine back in the car, huh? Lookin' good!

You can't even imagine. This project has taken too long as it is and it's nice to make some progress.
