haha, looks damn good man, Im gonna get my Euro bumper on one day but I think yours will look better.

A quick question...and I'm think in advance that it may be a dumb one, so I'll take my licks.
If you remove the front mose, can anything be done to reshape it to a state where it would be totally straight. My right side, lower front of the wheel well, is bowed out from some jack *** hgitting my car without leaving a note. I'd like to remove the nose to massage the bowed area out, and remount it exactly straight. (I know a pipe dream)

I've seen many a 944 with that thing bowed out.
My 951 is like that, I guess I got lucky with the n/a though.
I need to fix it because I want to put a splitter on it.

Question bump for Doc, how did you reattach the end cap to the bumper or do you not have a rear mount ?

We looked at using the original bolt to the bumper (inside of the end cap), but we decided that since the end cap slides onto the bumper from the side, and the front 2 bolts that hold the bumper cap to the body are plenty to hold the end cap securely in place. No need for any attachment of the cap to the bumper itself. The cap actually fits pretty snuggly over the bumper itself, I would imagine you wouldn't need any bolts holding the cap to the body at all (course you need them to make the lines smooth). It could be easily done with a bolt, some plastiweld and using the hole in the bumper, but not necessary at all.

Hi Doc,
Do you have any pictures of the front of the caps? How did you trim the caps and still leave the bolts in? Or did you re-attach the bolts after trimming the caps?

I don't have any pictures of the front of the caps, but you need to cut the screws off the caps and then plastic weld them back on once the caps are trimmed to the correct length.

IIRC, i drilled a tiny hole, then pushed them in and let the fluid drain. Mine were pretty well shot, but i would imagine you need to be careful when drilling on a set of good shocks as the fluid might be under a little pressure.

Wow, you can lighten up the rear bumper too?!?! 
Have you done before and after weights?
Just imagine it both fr and rear bumper lightweight...
Of course if an insurance CO. finds out we will be banned in all 50 states, but who cares when you blast past an that pesky F1 car at the next DE.
