Default Fog lights

They are expensive indeed, I am going to call Finishline, I heard they have better prices...

they're worth it, tho. don't forget to order clear lens protection as well. when i first put these in - within a week - one of them was hit and broken by a rock - an expensive lesson. no problems since i put the protectors on.

Whoa!!!! Brian did you fall down and hit your head??? Is the sun too hot in Miami??? Your selling your car??

That is surprising but I guess it happens. You must be getting married huh? BTDT.

I wish I was in a position to get another one but that would lead to divorce and she would probably end up with the car.....

This is a very nice car. I have worked on it, driven it and lusted for it. If you are waiting for a sweet *** 951 guys this is it. Don't fool around thinking too much. This is the one.

LFA - nah...i'll keep em right where they are!
chris - hey! great to hear from you - and thanks for the kind words - you did good work on that car and have helped to keep it in it's present condition.

and while there is a wedding on the way, thats not the reason. i've just gotten so busy down here that there is no time to drive it. i AM intersted in the early 996 models tho....heh heh....

It's an '89, so it definately has LSD, M030 (although 968M030 is slghtly better than 951M030), ABS, &, airbags (although this is unfortunate...)- Sorry to hear you're leaving us Brian- I am still planning to do the euro driver hook up & want them just like you hooked your's up now... I think... there was a question about the flashing thing you had set up, but I've decided I like that now- I did come up w/one other question but can't remember it off the top of my head- might PM you later... I love the car though- looks like you've got some great mods on there...

I do have several questions- when you said to get lens protectors- are you talking about the headlights too, or just Euro drivers? Where can I get these & how much should they run & have you noticed anything negative about them- I;ve always wondered if they would fog up w/age or anything??? Also, the Polks you have in stock 10-speaker locations... Do you still have 10-total speakers? I'm assuming you have 6.5" components in the rear, but what about the front? still a seperate 3-way set-up?? That would be really cool & very original- I'm looking at a 3-way component but am mounting 6.5's as the larger driver as I never found 3-way comps (other than factory) that had a 5.25 as woofer... Anyway, sorry to see you go man...

hey robby - well, don't slam the door on me just yet! i'm thinking about an early 996....but a tip so that my fiancee can drive it. but thats another topic for another time. we'll see - first things first. but i'll always be stopping by the 951 list.

i hope you get some use out of the fog/driving light write up - its a bit nebulous until you get in there....but i love the way it turned out on my car. just what i wanted.

to your questions:
lens protection - i don't have them on the headlights - just on the fog/driving lights. i got them from jason at paragon - try this link: http://www.paragon-products.com/prod...64.005.080.htm
$18 bucks. haven't noticed ANYTHING bad about them at all. i installed a pair of the euro lights and within a month a stone had broken one - the only negative is that i wish i would have put them on originally!!! no fogging, discoloration or cracking. they look like real thick versions of the rear quarter panel guards.

the polks:
the PO put em in, but i can tell you that there are 10 drivers there. 2 in the hatch cubbies, 2 behind the seats, 2 in EACH of the armrest enclosures and 2 tweeters up high on the door.

amp is in the left, rear hatch cubby.

Nize - i do have the dyno charts - i'll scan them and post.

i gotta ask everybody - especially as i prepare to put a listing on auto trader - am i in line here on price? i know its high relative to the other 951s that are for sale - and everybody always thinks their car is worth more than it probably is, but i'll admit that i haven't had a ton of inquiries on this car. yeah - i know - not exactly the best time of the year to be selling a sports car for most of the country, but....

also - to be clear - i'm in no real hurry to sell it - it puts a big, fat grin on my face whenever i'm lucky enough to get it out on the road!!!!

Default Custom Valentine remote mount

Brian,

Super cool V1 remote access panel. Any advice on how to replicate? I have the parts, but the panel and wiring is very nice.
