Spend a w/e going up the Wollombi Rd, some backroads to Buckett's Way and Wingham. Then the road (some dirt but ok for 20 or so k's) to Comboyne. Then up Oxley Highway and stay o/n at Walcha (Commercial Hotel's good). You'll be well and trully knackered by then. Home via Thunderbolt's Way, some backroads to Morpeth and finally The Putty to Windsor or left at Wilberforce for the Sackville Ferry and back to Manly via Galston Gorge. The old road will mean nothing after that ride.

i love the putty road. huey huey roads a good one. fast sweeping corners and no cops(most of the time). shame i really havnt got any where near the riding skills these bikes deserve. then again i dont think i have met any one that can ride a 1000cc bike to its full potential.

Sweet! I have never ridden but have been thinking about getting a bike for the last 2 tears. Don't know if I want a cruiser or street bike. I won't be spending a lot of cash at first either. I have been looking at Ebay at all the 250 to 600 older JAP bikes.

Sweet pics! But there's a bike blocking the shots of the 928....
Not to take the thread off topic, but I also highly recommend MSF -- in fact, it really should be mandatory. Sign up way in advance b/c the waitlist tends to be very long.

I had an 00 and it was the blue, white, and black sceme. It had a really nice carbon fiber high mount exhaust too. But man, be careful. Those things are too damn fast and not much crumple zone(0%). I raced a kid and he had a Honda 600RR. I got the R1 up to 160ish on a public road by me. I was only at the end of 4th gear, still had all of 5th to go. After that ride, I put the bike in the paper and sold it the next day. I am too irreasponsible for a machine like that. I hope you have more sense then I did and keep it under 130.

Very nice Sean, love the straight paint and polished frame. I have never been a fan of the paintjob which looks like an artist was trackside throwing paint at the bike as it goes past. I am envious as my Ducati 851 is for sale this weekend, part of a deal I made with my wife If it doesn't sell I think I will mount it on the wall as a piece of artwork, cheaper than what some of my friends spend on paintings and much more interesting
