Actually, the Guru also told me which ones to use. Here is a pic of him just before a model photo shoot in Kiwiville. And wow, what fly-*** colors on his suit too!

We dyno tested a few different spark plugs for the hell of it on a turbo S. NGK and bosch coppers, and then just for the hell of it, bosch platinum +4 (of course which bosch does not recommend for turbo and supercharged cars). The bosch and ngk coppers gave similar results. The platinum +4s actually ran about 4hp stronger at the wheels. Wouldn't run them in my car, but I thought the results were interesting.

Karl2bdc, did you try a used set on the dyno?
I as well have heard that they will give good results when new, but after a few hundred miles they will result in a power loss (I have no idea what could change, just passing on a possible myth here).

So, is that a copper plug? (I'm sorry; I didn't get it for sure, reading the posts)
What heat range # does that correspond to with a bosch plug?
If it's not the the stock heat range plug, which NGK # would be (the one that corresponds to the "7s" in the bosch range)?

Porsche dealer parts counter replacement plugs for the 951 are "Beru Ultra."

That's what I use.

Turbo Tommy see http://www.sparkplugs.com/Default.asp It is a usefull site for plug info.
If you look around there you should find your answers. It esplains het ranges etc.

Well as I said before I got my advise from the great 951 master TonyG. He is building a monster 951 as we speak, that is going to make norwood's doom car look like a toy. He sent me a picture of what is about to happen very soon.

No, all the plugs were new. It wasn't something we set out to test specifically, but we had the car on the dyno and since the owner was in club racing with restrictions, we decided we would see what would happen with different plugs. Don't have any clue on how they perform after a certain mileage. I run standard bosch plugs in my car though. I have run the NGK's as well, but i really dont notice any difference between the two.
