I got my recommendation from the great 951 master TonyG not from ST.

Actually, the Guru also told me which ones to use. Here is a pic of him just before a model photo shoot in Kiwiville. And wow, what fly-*** colors on his suit too!

We dyno tested a few different spark plugs for the hell of it on a turbo S. NGK and bosch coppers, and then just for the hell of it, bosch platinum +4 (of course which bosch does not recommend for turbo and supercharged cars). The bosch and ngk coppers gave similar results. The platinum +4s actually ran about 4hp stronger at the wheels. Wouldn't run them in my car, but I thought the results were interesting.

Karl2bdc, did you try a used set on the dyno?
I as well have heard that they will give good results when new, but after a few hundred miles they will result in a power loss (I have no idea what could change, just passing on a possible myth here).

"BPR7ES"
So, is that a copper plug? (I'm sorry; I didn't get it for sure, reading the posts)
What heat range # does that correspond to with a bosch plug?
If it's not the the stock heat range plug, which NGK # would be (the one that corresponds to the "7s" in the bosch range)?

I ran mine at 0.7mm (out of the box NGK's), compared it when i made the gap 0.8mm and the car ran a lot smoother.
Note, when i spoke to the NGK dealer and informed him these plugs (BPR7ES) would be used in a turbo application, he informed me that those plugs should be replaced every 10,000kms and that this plug is the 'cheapest' or lowest range plug they have.
