The stock plug recommended in my VW Scirocco is a Bosch Super WR7DC.
The stock motor has 90hp, but I put a turbo on it and run up to 10psi boost. It now has about 200hp and I run Bosch Super W5DC plugs in it gapped to .044" with no problems.
The W5DC doesn't have a resistor in the plug like a WR5DC would, and i get a bit of popping in the radio, but I don't care about that too much.
Bottom line: I run Bosch Supers in a VW motor with more than double the stock output and have never had a failure in 6 years.

There is no point in using high performance or copper plugs unless you have and MSD, Excel or other high performance ignition with a bigger spark. You won't see a much of a difference otherwise...
