stock J boot with aftermarket turbo
Is anyone running a stock J boot with an aftermarket turbo? If so can you tell me how you got it to work with the largo turbo inlet?
The inlet on the turbo I have is 2.75" and i am trying to modify the stock J boot to get it to work with the larger turbo inlet. Any help or pictures would be greatly appreciated as I have had to drastically move up the time frame that I neecd to get my car on the road!

I got the same reducer from Dan but it would not work on a K27. I think a k27 is 2.75" also. I would have had to cut the Jboot too much and would lost all the ports on the jboot. I bought some 3" exhaust tubing and had some ports welded on it. I then cut the jboot right before the diverter valve port because I needed that port to remain on the jboot and shoved the exhaust tubing into the cut jboot and it worked fine. I just picked up a MAF for a good deal and it included a maf pipe to go to the headlight so I am not using the jboot setup I had put together.

what good would heating the J boot do?
As far as making a J boot out of aluminum tubing, first you would have to have it bent to the correct dimension and then you would need to have bungs welded on.
