Default Will 205's fit a 7.5" rim?

Will a 205/50 fit on a 7.5" rim?

My calc says 205 is 8.03" and a few Google searches didn't turn up any definitive info.

yes, 205's are most intended for 7" rims. You can fit 215's on there, and 225's on there too.

Yes but will the 205's fit on a 7.5??

I've run 215 to 235's on 7.5 but never a 205. A 205 will leave me 1/4" overhang per side. Cutting it close.

porschhhhh and Brad - what offsets are the wheels your running (front and rear)? Any issues? Thanks!

i would stick with 215 or 225. personally. plus wider they are the more rubber you have on the ground even if it is only a little wider

I just scored a dang near new set of Dunlop SP9000 for $200. 205's F 255's R. Couldn't pass 'em up. The only available rims I have are 7.5F/9R.
I'll give 'em a shot, worst case scenerio I'll put 'em on my NA.

Front: 205/50-17, 7.5" wheel, 52mm offset
Rear: 255/45-17, 9" wheel, 47mm offset

This is a standard Boxster setup. They fit great, no rubbing, and I'm very very happy with them. When the front tires wear out I'll replace with 225/45 on the front, but really, unless your tracking your car, the 205's are fine handling wise.
I got a good deal on this Boxster package, so took what came with it. BTW, the overall height of the front and rear tires almost exactly matches the stock 16" setup, so no appreciable speedometer error.

Yes, my Jalpa has factory mounted 205/55-16” tires mounted on 7.5” rims. The rubber protrudes slightly beyond the (no lip) rim edge lowering the risk of “curb rash”.

No, not really. There's a lot more than just tire width. Depending on what ratio (45/50/55) on what size rim will determine the actual footprint. I have seen quite a few examples where a 225 tire will actually have a wider footprint than a 245
