maybe a certain vendor that has experience selling/using the smt6 should run a nice sale on 951-ready smt6's *cough, cough*

Yeah - I got that too.
They got a name list from someone.......
I have never had contact with them.
I have a suspicion I know who is giving out the list.....

Would the new SMT7 be advantageous over the SMT6 in that it supports boost control?

Guys, I have not given out any names for the email list. I think they are using the emails needed to download software or to enter the PP forum..
I was not notified about any special, I will have to check into it.

SMT7 will not work on the 951...

Just checked the 928 forum, and another guy over there got an email on this too. AND, if the seller orders 5 or more units, there is a quantity discount of sorts, so total savings would be over 50%.
If we have a willing vendor, lets do a cross-forum group buy. I've made mention of this on the 928 forum as well, and have asked if a vendor there would be willing to order them for both forums.
Who's interested?

I'll stick with regular price and a vendor I can trust for complete support. Goodluck with a buy. I hope you guys are able to put it together.

ehall I agree with you, we should buy from someone that provides great support & has taken the time to sort out this stuff for our cars.

But maybe if P/P is willing to extend such a HUGE discount to out "Special Vendor" in turn our "Special Vendor" might be willing to pass down SOME sort of special price to us. Specially if 5 or 10 people are willing to make the purchase at the same time.

Just a thought

I'd be interested if a deal could be worked from John, but I don't think I'd want to buy one without his support.

I agree 100%. That is why I can understand the primium on his kit.

And trust me, it is well worth it. John's support is excellent, bar none!

I got the same email and the only contact I've ever had with them was logging into their customer site for wiring diagrams. They must be using those emails to spam us.

I'd also be in for a MAF group buy if a "special vendor" would set it up.
