duke: Nice calipers let us know how they fit...they look awesome!

Pete: Are those the ceramic or regular rotors, and what size? the wheels look killer and the rotors even more so. Keep the pics coming.

SORRY FOR THE HIJACK EARLIER!

FVD Germany, early 996 GT3 / Turbo iron discs, 330x34mm front & 330x28mm rear. They have Porsche stamps and part#s on them.

I will post more pics while I start the real installation...that will be in the next week,I'm now arranging things in and cleaning my garage...

Those wheels are for sale, the wheels I'm going to use are these: ( Sorry Gustaf for slight hijack...! )

Thanks. Yes I'm also planning on using the stock 330*34 mm rotors.
Just haven't find a supplier with a decent price yet...

Anders I'll send you a mail about it.. perhaps we can work something out

BTW beautiful car Pete!
I'm hoping to visit both Norway and Finland with the green 951 when it's done next summer.

Thanks Gustaf, yours isn't bad at all!

And welcome,we have many official PCF happenings during the summer and also some of our own, like trackdays.Olli,Sami,Tommy,me and some others will surely be there with 951s.We have one inofficial club with 8 951s,or had...one traitor bought a '03 996 GT3 and another one an Audi S4 after a spectacular engine explosion.I guess he'll blow that Audi up soon too...

Found some more GT2 calipers. Pete (Pete95zhn) & I will both have these little bit bigger calipers next season.

Tommy(Sybelix) will have these, because it is difficult to install GT2 or GT3 calipers to 951 S

Here's a pic of GT3 & GT2 calipers. GT3 calipers will go under a 928 track car and "Big Yellows" goes under a 951

$13k for brakes?
If I ever upgrade it will be to something "lowly" like the $1500 Brembos.

Is getting the bigger brakes soley for getting the larger rotor (for cooling/heat soak?) because, although I haven't tried, I would be surprised (just from how the car feels when it breaks now) if I couldn't get tire lockup off the "tiny" stock calipers from my un-ABS car.

They do look very daunting taking up the entire inner area though

Not even close to that.. I will do that about $3500 including GT2 front & GT3 rear calipers with rotors

Nice brakes! Those are huge. What rotors are you using with the GT2 calipers? I ended up going to 993TT brakes.
