Where to buy a TiAL 38mm wastegate?
I'm wondering cuz I'm planning on buying Dad's Turbo S within the year... and i want him to get one anyway...
Also, are TiAL wastegates the best? what about a Lindsey Dual-port or Clubgate?
I'm still a Turbo n00b so... yeah..

www.speedforceracing.com sells the wastegates and the adapter. Seems like most people here opt for the 38mm tial, and yes, it is probably the best choice. The Lindsey units are a bit more expensive and theres a $300 core charge

The TiAL is the best on the market for the money. I bought mine from Rennlister MySwiss but SFR sells them for almost the same price.
The Lindsey WG are rebuilt stock units and cost more than the TiALs. Those that choose to use the Lindsey WGs prefer the stock mounting they affer.
With the adapters sold with the TiALs, this is a non-issue.
$300 shipped for the TiAL or $400 for the Lindseys.
I bought my Tial for $300 and then sold my stock WG to Lindsey for $100 in store credit which bought an MBC and mounting plate for under the radio.

Dan, Is the in-store credit deal extrended to anyone? I damned near chucked the thing out this weekend.
Geoff, PM sent. I highly recommend the dual port for it's positive action.

I am running the tial with SFR adapters and it works great but the bolts have an annoying habit of working themselves loose. I recommend you follow some listers advice and perp. drill the bolts for safety wire and wire the biatch's in before you install the WG. Also I had some fitment issues that I solved by cutting an inch off the pipe that comes out of the WG and connects to the cat pipe.
A third option is also to get a Tial with 2 flanges(10 bucks each) and have a local shop weld in the flanges for you for 50-100 smackers.

Answer my own question
So it seems that the most common way to select your spring size is to pick a pressure rating that is a couple tenths or a bar or a few psi lower than the boost pressure you intend to operate the turbo/engine combo at. This way a boost controller can be used to adjust the opening point of the wastegate and help you fine tune to the exact pressure that is desired. This also allows adjustments to compensate for changes in atm pressure, altitude and temperature, which will all effect the way your wastegate does it\'s job.
PS. remember that the more boost you run the "SMALLER" the wastegate needs to be. The lower the boost the larger the wastegate.

This is where I'm planning on getting mine (to say nothing of that LM-1). . .
http://www.europartsetc.com/
Their web site kinda sucks (a lot of the links don't work, etc.), but if you call them, you can take care of the ordering and get any questions answered over the phone very easily.
