You have to call. I think the one on the site is a stage 1.

Can I go back to basics and ask a simple question? Is the only reason that we change to more solid clutch/pp/fly kits that when you go up in power the stock setup won't handle it resulting in slippage under load? So if we take this to be correct, then is it a by product of a sturdier setup that you lose the slipability and you inherit a more 'on-off' nature with the possibility of chatter? Is that the nature of the beast?

To expound on the last question... if the KEP will hold 600ft/lbs with a stock disk, then why does anyone under 600ft/lbs go with a puck style clutch?

it will hold it but for how long? I think they go for a more aggressive disk to handle the heat of racing

The original disks used a bunch of small springs that would break causing clutch failure. The "cup" clutch doesn't have those smaller springs. Most people go up to stroger clutch set ups because the job is such a PITA. May as well get all you will need, especially if you plan to upgrade the power.

I guess I just go from my experience on the track where I don't feel that I'm harsh on the clutch much at all and I have been matching rev's up and down for many years when necessary. I am going for a whole new setup through Markus Blaszak so I am going up to something that is built to handle over 600lb/tq, I just hope it won't have a total on-off nature when driving in traffic.

No worries, I daily drive a KEP stage 2, 6 puck copper/ceramic disc.

Is it smooth as stock ?? nope, but it is completely streetable.

Me too.

Here is the lowdown.

Kep= high pedal effort, but easy modulation (progressive)
Spec= lower pedal effort, but on/off (difficult) modulation

You can't have your cake and eat it too.

No it would appear not. I'm keen to try the new setup from Markus and am not too worried so long as it is broken in properly I'm sure it's fine. I'll be breaking lots of things in shortly so I'll just add it to the list.
PS did you get my email?
