Juan, yeah, the CA smog situation is not kind to us 944 owners. Gotta say that your dumped wastegate sounded pretty cool when you blew past us on hwy 50 last weekend !

yeah, i just HAD to do it, with everyone lined up like that. 130 didnt feel that fast...... i swear, i'm gonna get a borla muffler, the magnaflow is way too ricey for driving around town. i was talking to andial about getting something together for the end of november, instead of the ill-fated pizza run, more of a smaller, twistier, possibly timed deal.....you in? ahaha

I gotta say I guess I missed that; I don't know how, but I didn't see the pearl car at all after we left Sunrise. All I heard were stories at the 1st pullover. The rest of us got our chops in later on in the day.

Glad to see everything is environmentally friendly with your car Brad. I have a car that passes smog with chips., 3-bar FPR with pretty good numbers; but the same car will fume you out if you are behind me on a climb. Meanwhile at the oasis the AF ratio is fine. I've decided that every 951 blows a bit of raw gas and smoke under hard boost and just get used to it. Am I wrong?

You know, I'm not sure about that. I think it depends a lot on the chips you're using. Obviously Danno's Guru chips work with the 3.0-bar FPR to ensure that at low engine speeds, low-load and idle conditions, the fuel delivery is kept in check, as shown by my low HC numbers.

On the last ride, Josh was riding behind me for a while and commented that mine was the only 951 that wasn't belching stuff under hard boost... Or maybe I wasn't driving hard enough

I saw you make a pass on the last leg home and you definately smoked, I was surprised I thought I was the only one with a cloud.

Oh good, for a minute there I was thinking there was something wrong with my car. Good to hear it smokes like the rest of them - means its not burning too lean...
