Hey guys I just wanted to see if these would fit. Yokohama AVS ES 100's with 225/50's in front witht 245/45's in the back. These are on a 1986 turbo with stock fuchs wheels. It also has the turbo cup bilstein suspension. I appreciate the help guys.

Those are the exact tires I have on mine, but mine is an '89 with the 7" & 9" Club Sport wheels. There is definately room in the fenders for even wider tires on my car.

You can grow crops in the room you'll have left over with the early offset. They will be fine. The ES-100 has a very square shoulder and has one of the widest treads in a given size. (i.e. my Fuzions in 275/40-17 are a full 1" narrower than the ES-100); I needed the room and went with the Fuzions and have never regretted it. I've run both tires and didn't feel the Yokos were all that great in the tire wear and noise departments.

I was going to get the Fuzion Zri, but it's not a good looking tire, looks rather plain, so after doing some research, I decided on the Kumho Ecsta SPT which beat the Avs100 on Tirerack and looks great too. The truth is, it's so new that there isn't too much feedback available, but it is a Y rated tire where the Fuzion is a W, and it has AA traction while the Fuzion has A only, the only thing they have in common is that they are both 320 treadwear, so I'm gonna take a chance and get the new SPT, which is actually $10 less for four tires...

thanks guys, I will be getting them tomorrow. I have the stock size avs 100 on my car now. I hope I like the plus size better! Just something to fill the damn wheel gap.

You seem to put a lot of importance on 'looks', that is the very last concern I have in choosing a tire. If you don't like the Fuzion don't buy it, they are the same price as the SPT and have a very good reputation among owners; the older Kumhos Ecsta has more negative responses than just about any UHP tire out there. I have no desire to get 25K miles out of a set of tires that I will hate; by the time I put that many miles on the tires they will be 4 years old and probably hard as a rock anyway. YMMV

I live in Florida and there are no canyon roads here, just flat straight aways, and looks are important, who are we kidding, you don't go and spend $1,000 on a set of 3 piece wheels without thinking of how a tire will look around it, this country is all about looks, so looks do matter, and while it may not be one of the most highest priority factors in choosing a tire, it is still of importance. The Fuzion is Traction A, Temperature A, I saw one today in front of me, the Kumho is AA-A, I guess you misunderstood, if you doubt it, go to Tirerack and look in Specs or go to the Fuzionzone, their official website. You are right, the old 712 was not that great, but the SPT is brand new and it is getting really good reviews on the roadstests. The guy who said the tire squirmed and had poor turn-in had a Misubishi Lancer Evolution, and naturally a car that has 60% of it's weight in the front, and not to mention, four wheel drive (added weight) will do that. We have rear axles and perfect 50/50 weight distribution with staggered fitted tires, so I don't think this applies to our 951. In Tirerack in the roadtests, the tire tested was 225/45-17 in two seperate tests, the Fuzion Zri had 0.94 g's and the SPT had 0.96 g's in dry cornering, in the wet 0.79 g's versus 0.81, plus it was smoother and quieter than the Fuzion. I trust the tests done by professionals with real equipment over the individual who's driving habits are in question...
