My porsche was in a unfortunate accident a couple weeks ago. I ordered the complete 968 rear end from david at german auto dismantlers who was a pleasure to deal with.

However he didnt have a spare hatch at the time. How many people have done the full 968 rear conversion leaving the 944 wing. I will most certainly be doing the 968 wing soon but, for now I will leave the stock wing on there.

Does anyone have any pics or can someone photoshop what this might look like. If I get it back and hate it I will just bite my tongue and do something right away.

I just didnt want to spend 1k for a whole hatch when all I need is the 968. Any ideas welcome. Could I just rip off the 944 wing and put a different one on there? would that look right?

any help always appreciated thanks

dude, your going with a 968 rear huh, thats is gonna look amazing! As far as the wing I dont what replacements are outthere but you cannot swap 968 wing onto a 944 hatch, I know that much at least!
Good Luck

John isn't there an aftermarket company that makes a 968 adjustable style wing? Nine-44 has it on his project "949". I was also under the impression the 968 wing would go on the 944 hatch with a little modification. I think if you go with a front lip, the adjustable style wing would look awesome. The 944 wing would look ok on the car for the time being, but having never seen it, it may look awesome. I just can not picture it. Good luck and post some pics when you get them.

Go for it! At least it'll be different (until you get the 968 wing)

Doesn't look to bad at all. Maybe you should keep it. BTW, what are you going to do with the lock cylinder in the bumper cover?

yeah, that photo doesn't really have anything to do with John's car, just a (bad) pic of how a 968 rear end will look with a 944 spoiler...personally I don't think it looks too bad, but it will definately look better with a 968 wing
