Default Project 949, lil more with pics( now with wide body progress pics)AND 968TRS wing!

Still moving along, still broke, here's what I've been up to. The exit piping is pretty much mocked up and ready for final welding after the header is built. I'm ready to start on the 4-1 header when I get the cash for the bends and pipe. The 4" pipe is huge, like, HUGE, I'm in love with it! I ran 2.25" pipe out of the primary enough to get bast the bolts and went to 2.5"(it was all the bolt pattern of the turbo would allow). The secondary turbo enjoys 3" with the exhaust brake control valve welded just after the turbo. The header to turbo pipe is 2.5" and split into two 2" feeder pipes to each turbo. Now I just need to fab the 4-1 header from the head to the collectorpipe and the hot side should be about finished. now some pics!

The 4" exit will get about a 45 degree bend on the end of it, I need to do the body work first to see exactly where it needs to sit. The body is also getting the full treatment, custom nose, 2" flare per side front and 3" flare per side rear. Vented nose with a nice bump for intake clearance. The rear quarters will get ducting in and out for the heat exchangers for the water to air intercooling.

SOMEDAY is the key word, I'm sure when I do get the cash together, then I won't have the time, lol.

Thanks for the kind words guys. The budget is hit for now and I'm out of tubing for the header. I plan to start playing with the wide body this week, it's basicly free work to me. I have the parts, time and tools. That should bring some good pics also, prolly more fun to look at than rough tubing, lol.

Yeah, the 949 is a whole car project now. I was going to make it a bolt-on setup that would slide onto any 951 orthe "954". Packaging didn't permit good design or clean layout. That and I don't like rebuilding the same car into something else. I also like the 954 too much as is to do too much with it.

The Garrett VNT is the primary, the K-26#6 is the secondary. Neither is really large, the K-26 is roughly sized with a T-3 and the Garrett is a T-25 with a T-3 cold wheel and a variable hotside. Each should be able to support enough flow for 250hp, together they should be capable of 500+ depending on engine efficiency and other variables.

On a seperate note, I've been working on the widebody. I have a little ground covered, I'll get pics up in the next day or so.
