Question diverter valve leaking?

Just curious to see if anyone with the Evolution Motorsports diverter valve has had a problem with it not holding boost when used with a larger turbo?

I put the evo valve in last year. In February of this year I put in a k27/6 replacing the k26/6. The car was not running correctly after the k27. In the course of diagnosing I pressurized the intake to find if I had boost leaks. The evo valve was leaking as shown in the picture. I put some JB weld on it and it was fine. This does have a lifetime warranty.

that section screws off, make sure you tighten it before jb welding it... I'm sure if you wanted to go extreme, a bit of locktite on the thread would have been adequate.
I have the valve, but i don't have an upgraded turbo. running 18 psi on a k26 poses no issues at all.

I have it wit hreally big turbo and no problems.

Was yours cracked? As it seems maybe jsut needed to be tightned.

Also, I run mine with shims and get better response in between shifts.

Todd - with shims, you are getting LESS response, BUT more boost holding capability.

Just big, flat washers like you would do for the WG.

Increases the spring tension and maintains a little more boost between shifts and/or not as much "re spooling" to do between shifts.

Due to my big turbo, I can't "catch" 2nd like I used to with the K26. After adding some shims to the DV, I went out and can catch 2nd now in between shifts.

Only way I would really tell a difference.

I made sure that it was screwed in tight and then I put on the jb weld.

Ok.. thanks, catching 2nd not a problem and just running 15psi for now, when I turn up the boost we will see if it holds.

Just never looked to see if the EVO could be taken apart as to why I asked the question.

Ok, that makes sense. I know between shifts, I do not feel as much of a "bog" or re spool as before shims.
