Who do you guys trust do do the engine work
I am getting ready to rebuild my 3.0L motor But I am not sure who to goto with the block.I am going to get the engine bored to the next size if it needs it and a new set of pistons ands rods.Do you guys goto local machine shops for the block work? I am in NJ so if anyone has a machine shop in jersey they could recommend that would be great but I don't really care where I have to send it.I am just looking to do it right. Thanks for any help.

Chris White might be working on my motor at this very instant, he's supposed to finish things up on it in the next few days. Everything I read before I decided to send it to him was 100% positive. Dealing with him thus far has been outstanding, he's easy to talk to and right upfront and honest about the ACTUAL amount of time it takes to get things done. Also, although the numbers themselves are high, his prices are outstanding.

Another new option is 928Motorsports. I haven't dealt with them personally, but they seem to have their act together.

Since my local machinist flaked out on me, Chris White will be getting my business. (I used the local machinist as no packaging or shipping was needed, not because he was any better than Chris).

Another vote for Scott Gomes. I have never had any issues with any dealings with him, including my 16valve 3liter that is in process at his shop.
