Lightbulb TPS install trick

Throw away the 2 phillips screws that mount the tps. Replace them with stainless allen/hex head screws and flat washer, used a mild locktite. Take a dremel tool with a cutting wheel and change the bottom tps screw hole into an open slot, big enough for it to slide around the allen. Install the bottom allen screw/washer first before installing the tps onto the throttle body and then just rotate the tps onto the allen screw.

You work too hard! After a bit of cussing, story here I just put the top screw in and moved on...tons of miles later still fine.

WELL I must admit, u are probably right. I am just one of those people that can't stand to leave that screw out, many times I wish I was different, I would have more time to "grip it and rip it".

I am very attentive to the details and am the same way....however this one item pushed me too far and I had to live the rest of my life....on the edge with one screw missing

I've never had a problem getting the bottom screw. Maybe my MAF set up clears the way?

Why not just remove the TB? Only 4 easy to get to bolts hold it on.

I never understood why anyone would want a skinless cat.

. . . and then what do you do with the skin once it's off?

I'm with you, Tom - skinning cats is useless endeavor.

Yup, that's the way I do it as well. No point going round with a screw loose...
