Default Replacing throttle cable - how to?

I am trying to replace the throttle cable, because the existing one is frayed. What's the easiest way? Feed the new cable through the firewall from the cabin to the engine compartment? Or feed it from the engine compartment to the cabin? Any tricks? Hints?

Thanks!

Gary

It is a pretty simple job, IIRC I pulled the old one out from the firewall side and feed the new one back thru the firewall.

Thanks! So you first disconnected the cable at the gas pedal, and then you went over to the engine compartment side and pulled on the cable until it came through the firewall?

Mine doesn't really want to go through the firewall, but maybe I just have to pull harder?

Yes, if it is that hard.. just cut it off, no good anyway.

There is a little grommet that seals it in the firewall so water etc.. doesnt get in, on mine I just had to tug pretty hard to get it to unseal.
