313 km/h video in a 951

That's the actual power to overcome the air, so it's the power making it to the tire at that moment.
The relationship from velocity to hp is a factor of three, so the linearity isn't there. It would take 273hp to overcome 186mph (300km/hr). Once again though, that's purely the power it takes to push a 951 through air at that speed. That doesn't take into account the power curve or gearing.

So, what would it take to get to 200mph? Just curious....

Konstantine,
What do I need to do to get a ride in that thing? I really need to ride in something powerful on the autobahns.
You seem to get all kinds of weird parts. Do you have factory connections.
Well, if you want to give a crazy Ami a ride, let me know. I will be in Tuebingen in a few weeks. That is but a few km from you from what I can tell by you license plate. I would love to check out your collection.

Joy riding on the Autobahn in a Porsche! Man, some are so lucky.
I'd be happy just to be able to download the video. I'm getting nothing but connection timeouts now. Is there another place on the web where I could download it from?

Wow... it's been awhile since I've watched it... I know we've debated the technical kph/mph readings, etc, but, notice how fast he whips through 5th gear when floors it- when the boost needle peaks out... Then, notice how FAST the DROP in speed is when he finally lets off.... That's just wind drag at such a high speed... he goes from 7K to 5K rpms in about a second... 2000rpms in 5th represents about 52mph... that's pretty wild... My stock Turbo S seems to be about where it's supposed to be as far as acceleration's concerned & I think his car ran through 5th as fast as I can get through 4th...
