The Escort car that I looked at had the brackets bolted to the fender aprons, using what looked like two M8 bolts. The bolts will allow some adjustment when fitting/installing the hood.
Ive got some pics, but dont have access to post them right now.

Whoa! Very cool hood. If it goes, where can I get another one like it and does in come in Carbon Fiber. Same with the that wing on Tifo's avatar. Where can I get one? It's adjustable too?

The pins are captivated in the hood, they stay with it when you open it.
If you look closely at the mount you can see it takes a twisting motion to lock.
