Following z3bra's advice on fastener drilling, this is what I went with.
Tip: When lockwiring the crossover face (underside of Tial disk) flange bolts the twisted pair did not fit between the Tial body and adapter plate, so I twisted up to that point, fed the strands through, and completed the twist to the second fastener.

Thanks, I was reading a post earlier today reinterating how quickly the original gaskest blew out and I've been deliberating redoing mine with copper before the install. Was that your post? Well I'm reinstalling as is with the cracked xover tube gasket because I need the car Fri morning. The new gasket will be here next week and that will give me a chance to see how much she loosens over the weekend.
This is just a little easier to wire out of the car.

I think that may be my thread you are referring to, have a search for it, SFR sell copper gaskets.

The copper gaskets are made by SCE, Specialty Component Engineering, and are part # 4150, "Two Bolt 1.5" Waste Gate Gasket." They sell for around $11 each.

Edit: Just checked with my distributor, prices have gone up a tad since I bought mine. Edited to reflect the change.

ibkevin, thanks for sharing the assembled pix. I've been following this thread as I'm planning on getting a Tial 38 myself. Its been a while since I last practised the zen of safety wire. Looks very good.
