"Lindsey Racing" headlight duct mod complete
Well, what a complete pain in the *** this was...
Firstly the off the shelf Lindsey Racing fibreglass part did not fit. Follow this thread https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...ey+racing+duct. It was disformed and WAY beyond salvage, my fibreglass guy said "start over". So I thought lets cut the ducts out and mat them to the stock metal headlight, that way I can be sure the form is right. Well, we did that, and it turns out that part of the reason of why the off the shelf LR part does not fit is because the metal bracket hits the ducts and maintains a proud position. So, anyways, we got the matting done painted, and then got the orbital sander out and ground down the headlight brackets and bar... took most of the day, but here is the result... several hundred dollars worth of labour and parts later! Oh and the best part, even after cutting the plastic shroud to let air though, still no temp drop gains visible yet. I will data log and see what the story is, I have a spare used cover to test the stock mode.

Well to be fair, 80% of the mod is my car in Zermatt, only the ducts were yours! lol I bet the ducts are just happy to finally be used!

I agree, I dont think they will do much, not work the way they are supposed to, heck each vent is not even the same angle! Its more of an asthetic thing for the car shows really...

Yeah looks ok now, I would not do it again, costs WAY too much to get it right. We must have grinded out half a kilo of metal to make it fit!

pic for someone... it has clear sections in the sticker, so whatever your car's colour is, that will show through, so it always looks matched to the car...

NZ...if you are going to use me in your sig of approving your rims....please do not abuse me. Correct the spelling on my name, thank you.
BTW, ducts are def not deep enough, and I do not approve of them. I have that same headlight duct, the idea is there but the fitment is not.
