Default Race gas prices?

What are you guys paying for high octane gas? I just found a local Mobil station that sells 110 octane for only $3.19/gallon....needless to say I will be filling up tomorrow. Previously I was paying $4.50/gallon for 108 octane.

Premium 93 octane for $2.69 or 110 for $3.19, which would you choose?

Just curious what people are paying for 100+ octane elsewhere?

100 in san jose is 4.39 if I recall correctly.

3.19 for 110 sounds like a mistake... buy all you can...

You know whats sad? That 110 is less than I pay for 94 at the pump right now. Today it was $3.60USD/gal for 94.

110 will be leaded. Just an FYI.

I can get 104 unleaded for $5/gallon 1 mile from my house. It is kinda expensive, but I prefer using unleaded. I could get 110 leaded for closer to $4.

From what I can tell, the cost of race gas is directly related to the amount of local competition in the sale of race gas. In my part of town it is harder to come by. If I lived closer to IMS or IRP I could buy it at about 10 places.

Doesn't seem so expensive to Americans who don't do the CAD/liter conversion in their head. lol

Paid 1.05CAD/Liter at the Sunoco in Oshawa while driving at Mosport. "hey, only a dollar, thats not bad" Got home to see that was about 3.50USD/gal on my credit card bill . . . yikes!!!

$3.19 for 110? That must be cut 50/50 with kerosene or something.

I just checked with a freind of mine. The price is correct on the 110 but as Max stated it is leaded. darn. I have no cat so I don't have to worry about that....however I do need my 02. I found some articles that said I could mix a small about of leaded 110 with unleaded 93 to increase octane to ~103 without damaging my 02. If I could do that it would still be much cheaper then the 100 octane at Sunaco

we sell 5 gal cans of VP for 35-42 depending on if you you oxygenated (U-2) or red, C-12 etc. I usually buy a 5 gal can and keep it mixed if I'm on big boost street racing etc.

If you have a wide band watch out for the leaded
It is supposedly bad for the sensor

the denso widebands are supposed to be compatible with leaded fuels they are relatively new on the market installed a set in a late model cobra they are nice. the response time on them is also much quicker than the one he had in there

Tom's right about the price for us locally. Funny thing is that it's been at $4 for over a year now with hardly any change. I still don't understand why it doesn't go up with regular gas prices....not that i'm complaining.

Hi Mike
Hope all is well
I really think its supply and demand ...
Its the demand for the crappy gas that's giving us all a sore *** here !! :-)

At TMS it was 4.85 or so last I was there for 108. It cost the dealer 4.23/gallon for 104 when I bought my BMW. They were out of Super Unleaded so all they could do was go up. Since I wasnt paying I had no complaint.

hmm it might be worth it then to get one of those Denso widebands....however I would still need a compatible shortband 02....

I've been reading up on leaded fuels. I see much contradicting information so not sure what to believe. At $3.19/gallon if there is anyway I can use it I want to.
